Catalogue Note

Laurent Ferrier's Galet Classic represents the epitome of understated elegance. A fine and vitreous ivory enamel dial conceals Laurent Ferrier's in-house movement, developed and adjusted onsite in their workshops. It features for the first time in watchmaking history, a one minute tourbillon carriage fitted within a double balance spring. The effect is brilliant, allowing the movement to beat with unrivaled regularity and precision; a chronometer certified movement by the Besançon Observatory.

The aesthetic of the watch itself is endowed with the luxuries of classical watchmaking, from the Grand Feu enamel dial to its meticulously hand beveled and polished flange to the subsidiary seconds. The movement is inspired from the past as well, as the design of the bridges are derived from pocket watches, and includes no fewer than 30 hand-crafted interior angles.  The present watch is offered in great overall condition with its presentation box and certificate of Origin and Guarantee.

Laurent Ferrier perpetuates the outstanding nature of Swiss horology. Ferrier completed training at the Geneva Watchmaking school, and spent nearly four decades with one of the most prestigious manufacturers, Patek Philippe. After his final role as Patek Philippe's Creative Director, Ferrier founded his own brand dedicated to his vision of exceptional watchmaking.
