Catalogue Note

Ref. 5970, a descendant of the beloved reference 1518, was introduced to the market in 2004.  It replaced the Ref. 3970, which had been in production since 1986, and previous to that, the Ref. 2499. With its distinctive rectangular chronograph pushers, its design pays homage to the Ref. 1518 and early examples of Ref. 2499. It is clearly modern in its large 40 millimeter format.  Discontinued in 2011 after only seven short years, Ref. 5970 was then replaced by Ref. 5270.

The model is fitted with a Lemania based movement, which is highly sought after amongst collectors.
