Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the year of manufacture in 1945, and sale on July 15th, 1946. This model, Ref. 533, was first produced in 1937. In the succession of Patek Philippe chronographs, its closest relative is Ref. 130, which was introduced in 1930. Both models have the earlier-style rectangular chronograph pushers and similarly shaped cases. A distinguishing character is that the bezel on Ref. 533 is flat, whereas the bezel on Ref. 130 is concave.

For an example of Ref. 533, see Huber, M., & Banbery, A., Patek Philippe Wristwatches, Vol. II, Second Edition, p. 264.
