A COLLECTION OF MODERN COMPLICATED WRISTWATCHES FROM AN AMERICAN COLLECTOR
The asymmetrical dial provides an elegant display to view both tourbillon cages. This effect is achieved by the use of transparent sapphire bridges between the exterior and interior tourbillons. The two double tourbillon systems are joined by a differential mechanism, so if one escapement briefly passes through a horizontal or vertical position, the other one, rotating at an angle will offset that, leading to more precise timekeeping.
The firm produces less than ten Quadruple Tourbillons a year, making the present lot not only an exceptional piece of horological artistry, but also extremely rare.
