Catalogue Note
Accompanied by an A. Lange & Söhne guarantee booklet, instructional booklet, leather bi-fold, and polishing cloth. Together with a presentation box and outer packaging. From the moment A. Lange & Söhne first introduced the Tourbillon Pour Le Mérite in 1994, the watch revolutionized the field. Each element of the Richard Lange Tourbillon 'Pour le Mérite' was chosen for precision timekeeping. This model is unmatched in its harmonious union of history with innovation, and technical complexity with elegance.
The firm has produced five models of the Pour Le Mérite since its inception. The Richard Lange Tourbillon, which was introduced in 2011, was executed according to the highest standard for the purpose of precise timekeeping. The regulator dial features an ingenious system to reveal the oversized tourbillon carriage while improving legibility by automatically moving the section of the hour dial located between the 8-10 position into and out of view as the hours pass 6 and 12 respectively. Furthermore, this extraordinary timepiece is the first to combine stop seconds with a tourbillon mechanism. When the crown is pulled out, the tourbillon carriage and thus the seconds are arrested, allowing for maximum accuracy in time-setting.
When it comes to technological milestones in the horological world, the Pour Le Mérite series consistently delivers exquisitely crafted and technically complex pieces time and again.
