Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Jaeger-LeCoultre Certificate of Origin, and a Guarantee Certificate dated May 2, 2012. Together with one 2012/2013 edition catalogue, one instructional booklet, one loupe, suede pouches, a cylindrical leather travel case, a small box, and a presentation box with outer packaging.Jaeger-LeCoultre's iconic Reverso wristwatch is elevated by skillfully painted miniature enamel dials in their limited edition series of five examples, the Reverso à Eclipses. The firm has long maintained a tradition of fine art through their workshop specializing in miniature enamel paintings. The present lot features an exceptional depiction of 'La Dormeuse', a seated nude, delicately rendered and enveloped with robust, warm colors.

The Reverso à Eclipses is a unique reversible wristwatch featuring the in-house caliber 849. The hand wound caliber is ultra-thin, leaving ample room for the enamel dial, and the brilliant eclipse mechanism. A wheel at 2 o'clock activates a fine pink gold shutter to reveal the painted enamel dial. The effect is simply sensational.
