Reine de Naples series is inspired by an early bracelet watch Breguet created for Napoleon Bonaparte's sister, Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples. Not only was she no ordinary lady, the watches she collected were just as extraordinary. The younger sister of Napoleon, Caroline Murat, reigned as the Queen of Naples from 1808 to 1815 during which period this remarkable woman bought no less than thirty four clocks and watches from the workshops of Abraham-Louis Breguet, who was already considered one of the greatest watchmakers of all times.
In 2012, Breguet celebrated the 200th anniversary of the delivery of the first wristwatch made by Abraham-Louis Breguet for the famous patron and produced the Reine de Naples reference 8908. The Reine de Naples watches are gorgeously distinctive - the feminine oval-shaped case enhanced by the graceful mother-of-pearl dial, lending itself to a most beautiful presence on the wrist. It is also entwined with an elegant bracelet made of gold threads, hugging the wearer's wrist comfortably.
