Catalogue Note

Limited production of 300 sets in yellow, white, pink gold or platinum, the souscription set was introduced to the market in the early 1990s. The set was inspired by the brand’s founding father Abraham Louis Breguet. During the time of French revolution, he invented a payment plan for patrons in order to sustain financial stability. The client could choose to pay an initial amount of 25 percent of a watch in limited series and settle the balance due upon delivery.

The pocket watch, reference 1890, is powered by bumper rotor that was first made by Breguet in 1791. The hammer-shaped rotor is crafted from platinum and was manufactured by Michel Parmigiani. The wristwatch with minute repeating and perpetual calendar complication render this set an important part of Breguet history.
