Catalogue Note

The brand's first creation, Horological Machine 1 (HM1) speaks of MB&F's endeavour towards cutting-edge innovations. The striking shape and size of the case design tells of MB&F's forward-looking approach, with the hour and minute dials separated by a flying tourbillon in the centre. In order for the two dials to communicate, a masterly made ultra-flat and mirror-polished wheel centrally located under the dial is used.  It floats between two layers of precision-adjusted jewels as it is too thin to be supported from its axis. In addition, HM1 is the first wristwatch to feature a movement with four barrels connected in both parallel and series, and the first one to have two sources transmitting energy to the regulating system simultaneously. These four main barrels greatly improve accuracy, lessen wear and raise durability of HM1 by reducing the torque of each mainspring.
