Catalogue Note

The Paul Newman reference 6241 that was released in 1966 and it has always been one of the most sought after vintage Daytonas in the market today. The appearance of the 6241 has a strong resemblance to the reference 6239 and on top of that, some Rolex connoisseurs would name these two references “twin sisters”. However, the most apparent difference between the 2 references would be the acrylic bezel and the case of the 6241 as it is 1 mm larger in diameter. In very nice and original condition, the lumes have all turned consistently to a golden orange and the dial itself is in very nice and attractive original condition. The numbers between the lugs are very crisp and easy to read without the aide of a loupe and the watch is still retaining its original guarantee.
