Catalogue Note

Among the entire lineage of the Rolex Paul Newman Daytona, the reference 6263 and 6265 were the last two references  manufactured by Rolex with a hand-wound movement and were produced from 1969-1988. In comparison to its predecessor reference 6239 and 6241, the reference 6263 and 6265 included the word “oyster” printed on the dial and screw-down chronograph pushers. The present watch features a dial known as “Big Red” by Rolex connoisseurs. This dial is currently amongst the  favourite non-exotic manual Daytona dials in the market today.
