Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The dial and hands are in very good condition. The case with minor surface wear towards the band, visible with the naked eye. Otherwise the watch is in overall good condition. * Please note that the movement has not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. **The strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information.**

Catalogue Note

The Pagoda was produced in a limited edition of 1,100 pieces in yellow gold, 500 in pink gold, 250 in white gold and 150 in platinum.  All reference 5500 are fitted with an unique flared rectangular case with its case band shaped like a 'Pagoda', which is a tiered tower with multiple eaves. To assure collectors that no more reference 5500 could be produced again, Patek Philippe destroyed all the molds invoked after the limited production.
