The movement and all functions are in working condition at the time of cataloguing, the date functions are working properly. The bezel with very minor signs of wear at places and a tiny nick at 11 o'clock.The upper left lug with a very tiny nick. The band at 9 o'clock with very minor signs of wear. The case back with very minor signs of wear to the edges, however it is not visible with the naked eye. Otherwise the watch is in very good overall condition with hardly signs of constant daily wear. The Octa Lune collection was created by François-Paul Journe in 2001 to provide collectors an option for an automatic wristwatch with power reserve in their collection of watches.  Ever since the release of the Octa Lune collection, the collection has proven great success, especially the present watch which we are proud to offer - The Octa Automatique Lune.  Through 17 years of creation, the Octa Automatique Lune’s movement had undergone some minor changes. For example, an optimized winding system was put in place and it allowed the watch to automatically wind itself with the least movement possible. Such changes have made this model a more efficient timepiece for the wearer than ever before.

The present lot is a special edition watch that was produced in 2014 for the commemoration of the 50^th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the French republic and the People’s Republic of China. This watch features a platinum case with a novel blue dial and a logo of the France-China 50 stamped next to the signature of the dial.
