- A YELLOW GOLD QUARTER REPEATING WATCH WITH AUTOMATON JACQUEMARTS NO 3202 CASE 1483 CIRCA 1815

• manual winding movenet • silvered engine-turned dial, central chapter ring, with Breguet numerals, with three figures that strike in unison to the time including two vari-coloured gold figures striking bells above, and the third figure striking a drum at 6 o'clock • gold case, coin-edge band, gilt-metal cuvette • cuvette and movement signed
Condition
The movement and the minute repeater is functioning at the time of cataloguing. The dial is in fair condition, the arms of the people in the scene are all striking, there are clear signs of aging which is consistent with the age of this watch. The case has a visible dent to the bezel at 10 o'clock and there are scratches and scuffs throughout the case which is consistent with the age of the watch. The watch has not been tested to determine the accuracy of its timekeeping. Catalogue Note
Charles Oudin, (1768-1840) an innovative watchmaker, was a pupil of Abraham-Louis Breguet. Oudin established his own workshop at the Palais Royal no. 52 in 1805.
