Description

  • A FINE YELLOW GOLD OPEN-FACED SPLIT-SECONDS CHRONOGRAPH MINUTE REPEATING KEYLESS WATCH WITH VERTICAL REGISTERMVT 174438 CASE 282033 MADE IN 1914
  • diameter 47 mm
• cal. 17''' manual winding movement, 40 jewels, minute repeating on two steel gongs • white enamel dial, painted Breguet numerals, Louis XV hands, outer ring calibrated for chronograph seconds, 2 subsidiary dials for 30-minute register and constant seconds • 18k yellow gold case, repeating slide and chronograph button to the band, case back engraved with an initial "DHMC", hinged cuvette inscribed with a thank you note to the original owner of the watch • case, dial, cuvette and movement signed

Condition

The movement is running, the split seconds is operating and resetting and the repeating is with a nice tone and clarity. There is a very minor hairline running through the subsidiary dial from the center post between 5 and 6 o'clock underneath the bezel. The dial is damaged with a handful of hairlines disbursing. The case with hidden hinge is very nice and attractive overall. With a crisp PPC stamp to the bow and only light surface wear throughout. Which is in consistence with the age of the watch and with some minor wear to the bottom at 6 o'clock. There is monogram to the case back which means DHME.
