Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Rolex extra link and presentation box. The present double "Red Sea-Dweller" is a very charismatic example. The luminous dots and hands have aged to a warm yellow tone. The dial is known as a Mk III and the case is further known as a thin case. Later generation cases are larger and fatter. It is also interesting to note that the inside case back is stamped IV.67 and has the last three digits of the case number engraved above the reference number. It is very well known on the market that early Sea-Dwellers were usually fitted with case backs in stock. Many other Sea-Dwellers with a similar case number are also fitted with case backs stamped for 1967.
