• manual winding movement • ring-form dial with Arabic numerals for 24-hour indication • gilt brass globe carriage with gilt brass and simulated hardstone stand decorated by Sphinx figure and Egyptian pattern, white painted globe with the continents and countries in color

Condition

The movement is running, the globe is nice and colorful but with a large area of discoloration that runs from the right of Asia through to and below Australia with some areas of repair. The enamel cartouche numerals are in generally in good condition. Except for one four has been restored and others with minor chips and minor restorations. The brass stand with minor losses and discoloration. The base n generally good condition and the sphinx with some minor discoloration throughout. * Please note that the movement has not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and a service might be required at the buyer's expense. **The strap of this wristwatch is made from an endangered species, please refer to important notices for further information.**

Catalogue Note

The winding mechanism of the present lot is extraordinary. The winding machine is achieved while the plate is pulled out and connected with the stake on the globe carriage. The clock could be winding up the clock by rotating the globe anti-clockwisely. Adjusting the local time by moving the hand directly and the world time is indicated by the chapter ring and globe.
