Condition
MVT: is running at the time of cataloguing. Chronograph working as well. CASE: in fair and original condition with visible signs of wear. Scuffs, scratches and small pin head dings are visible throughout. The numbers between the lugs are crisp. DIAL: with signs of aging. The red numbers on the tachymeter scale are fading but still legible. Scratches are visible throughout and there is some loss to the luminescent dots at 3 and 9 o'clock. A light sheen of yellow can be seen on the dial. All lumes are now discoloured. The watch has not been tested to determine the accuracy of its timekeeping. Catalogue Note
The Heuer Carrera was launched in 1963 soon after the Autavia. This case design is different to the Autavia and smaller too, measuring 36mm. The Carrera was one of Heuer's most iconic designs and the present reference 2447 was in production from 1963 to approximately 1970.
