PAIR OF COLONIAL VIRGINIA IMPRINTS, INCLUDING TRIALS OF SLAVES AND PROTECTING THE TOBACCO TRADE Two Virginia imprints comprising session laws of the General Assembly passed July 1771 and February 1772. Various acts provide relief for owners of tobacco damaged or burned in a warehouse fire, regulations for disciplining the militia, guidelines for "Trials and Outlawries of Slaves," and others, including numerous acts creating infrastructure. The second volume is the second issue, with the correct date in the imprint. Though mentioned on both title-pages, an Index was never printed.
