Condition

Overall good condition. The lamp presents with some loss to the patina and light surface scratches throughout, the latter concentrated on the right wing. Minor signs of oxidation concentrated on the feet. All are consistent with age, gentle use, and natural evolution of the material. This is a wonderfully playful and functional design by François-Xavier Lalanne. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and suggests having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician. The lamp is currently wired with a 220 plug (continental european plug).
