Condition

Overall in very good condition. The wood surfaces with minor scattered scuffs and surface abrasions consistent with age and use. The fabric cushions with minor scattered rubbing and wear throughout. The fabric cords and tassels with minor fraying. [Chair 1]: The inner edge of the seat frame of one chair with very minor scattered losses. The front right proper inner edge with a minor split which measures approximately 2 inches and is not visible when the seat cushion is installed. The lower rear proper left edge of the foot with a minor chip which measures approximately 3/4 inch and visible upon close inspection. The center bottom edge of the same foot with a minor chip to the veneer which measures approximately 1 inch. One of the wood blocks with two minor losses along two edges, the longest measuring approximately 1 1/8 in. [Chair 2]: The outer seat frame edge with minor chips, the largest to the front proper right corner measuring approximately 1/8 inch diameter and not visually detractive. The outer edges of the rear leg with a hairline stress fracture radiating vertically on each side, measure approximately 1 inch each (appears stable). The lower front edge of the front foot with a minor chip measuring approximately ¾ inch. A very rare pair of chairs that present with tremendous sculptural and visual presence.
