Condition

Overall very good condition, consistent with age. The bronze surfaces with some light scratches, minor rubbing to the high points of the design and areas of oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. The patina and oxidation to the metal varies from a powdery teal to russet brown more towards the front. Overall it has a very organic transition between the various oxidation hues. There is some patina loss where the branches attach to the central stem, partially visible in the catalogue illustration, but this is not visually detractive and common in these works. Interestingly, the overall bush elements rest very low to the tabletop, with less than a ΒΌ inch between the lowest caps to the base, evoking a strong sense of volume. Overall a few of the stems are slightly misaligned as is typical. A highly biomorphic sculptural form that presents exceptionally well overall.
