Condition

Overall very good condition. The epoxy stone as been professionally cleaned and presents with a warmer, natural stone hue compared with the catalogue illustration. The concrete is in good condition, presenting with a few occasional irregularities in the stone and faint color variations inherent in the material. The bronze elements have been professionally waxed, allowing for the rich patination to be exhibited to its full potential. The bronze is less inky than illustrated in the catalogue and presents with more depth and variation with notes of blue and warm brown. There is some rubbing to the raised areas of the bronze, namely the ears and nose, as well as some surface wear and abrasions to the legs. These are not visually disruptive to the overall form. An iconic model by Lalanne, this example presents nicely alongside the other "Moutons" from this designation (lots 103, 104, 106, 107).
