Condition

Overall in very good condition. The epoxy stone has been professionally cleaned and presents with a few occasional irregularities in the stone and faint color variations inherent in the material. The proper back left leg with an area of professional and sensitive restoration (approx 4 in. on the inside of the leg) which is nearly seamless and only visible upon close inspection. The bronze elements have been professionally waxed to bring out the rich saturation of the patina. When compared against the catalogue illustration, the bronze is a warmer hue with inflections of blue which adds a nice level of complexity and dimension to the metal. The bronze is in very good condition with scattered surface scratches and abrasions, concentrated primarily to the feet and typical with age. An iconic and charming model by Lalanne, this example presents nicely alongside the other Lalanne epoxy "Moutons" from this designation (lots 104-107).
