Condition

Overall good condition consistent with age. The table presents with a few minor surface scratches, nicks, scuffs and a few small dents consistent with age and use. The wood is a bit dry throughout and presents with a few residual cracks mostly concentrated to the legs, though stable. The table top with a few tiny chips of wood to the corners and chips of veneer loss to the edges, mostly concentrated to two of the sides. These chips have been previously partially filled in order to be less visually distractive. A triangular area of approximately 4 x 2 x 1 in. with replaced veneer on the table top and a rectangular area of approximately 6 x 3 in with replaced veneer on the upper part of one leg. The chairs presents with some scratches, dents, chips of veneer and areas of rubbing, the latter being partially visible in the catalogue illustration. One of the chairs with a separation/weakness in the joints where the vertical supports meet the seat back, making the back rest unstable. This area would benefit from professional restoration. A few small wooden elements have been replaced at a later stage. The cushions are later and are fixed to the seats and the cane has been replaced.
