Condition

Overall very good condition. When viewed in person the shade presents with a cheerful Kelly green palette with yellow leaf accents, which is accurately represented in the printed catalogue illustration. The shade with approximately 15 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, all stable. The shade with surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The base is in very good condition and displays with a rich russet brown patina. The bronze surfaces throughout with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling. One of the shade arms appears to have been straightened at some point in the history of the piece causing a few small areas of patina to flake near to the transition where the arm connects to the base column, not visually detractive. The larger of these areas measures approximately 1/4 x 1/8 inch. Each of the sockets and paddle switches have been replaced but retain their period exterior socket casings. A charming shade and base pairing displaying an attractive mottled glass selection and refined scale and proportions.
