Condition
Overall very good condition. The shade with approximately 13 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, all stable. The shade with some light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. Approximately 8 tiles have been sensitively reset (while maintaining all of the original favrile glass tiles) by a professional Tiffany conservator after the leading became slightly destabilized after being overly exposed to heat from one of the bulbs. The telescopic “Bamboo” base in very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and minor surface soiling to the recessed portions of the design consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze with some scattered minute casting flaws inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The telescoping mechanism is fully functional. With a period “Bamboo” finial in very good condition with a small dent which causes the finial not to sit completely flush with the shade’s ring. A beautiful example of the “Bamboo” model with impressive scale and visual presence.
