Condition

Overall very good condition. Each sconce is beautifully cast and presents with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, minor wear to the patina, and some light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design. Each sconce with its original canopy, each with a later added wall plate (the component that is installed flush against the wall). The set of sconces is lacking three canopy screws overall. Each sconce with three ball screws to secure each shade. The shades present with scattered minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making. Each shade with some expected occasional fleabites around the upper aperture, not visible when the shades are installed. The glass surfaces of each shade with some occasional light surface scratches and with some concentrated surface scratches around the bottom collar of each shade where they are installed into their bases, not visible when the shades are assembled. One shade with a slightly uneven texture inherent in the production, not visually detractive. The same shade plus one other shade with paper provenance labels to the interior. A harmonious pair with beautifully iridized shades.
