Condition
Overall very good condition. The shade is executed with a striking and highly unusual selection of turquoise glass which is brighter and more nuanced when viewed in person compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The shade with approximately 13 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, all stable, including one cracked tile with a small associated glass loss. The shade with surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The base in overall very good condition with a rich green-brown patina, fine casting, and beautifully chased detailing. The bronze surfaces throughout with some light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design. With some scattered extremely minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. All sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. With a period “Spider” finial with threaded pin in very good condition. A superb example of the model with rare and vibrant coloration.
