Condition

Overall very good condition. The favrile glass “Lily” shades are a well-assembled harmonious set, displaying subtle variations in form and coloration. The shades are in very good condition, each with scattered minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the making and not visually detractive. Each shade with some expected occasional fleabites around the upper aperture and light surface scratches and rubbing to the top interior from continued surface contact over time with the interior sockets, not visible when the shades are installed. One shade with more considerable wear to the upper aperture. Another shade with a slightly larger chip to the upper aperture which has been ground down. The exterior of the shades are beautifully iridized, and when viewed with reflected light display a strong range of brilliant jewel-tone hues. The base is beautifully cast and is in very good overall condition with some surface soiling to the recessed portions of the design. The bronze with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle use. The two tallest lily stems show some movement but are stable and could be tightened. The socket fitters with scattered losses to the patina. One fitter petal with a small loss to the tip measuring approximately 1/8 inch wide. All sockets and the base switch appear original and undisturbed. A very attractive example of this iconic model.
