  • Height  17 in., 43.2 cm
the cylindrical form rising to a waisted neck and slightly everted rim, well painted in bright enamels and underglaze blue with a continuous narrative scene depicting Emperor Huizong on horse, accompanied by attendants, departing from a secret visit to the famous courtesan of the capital Li Shishi, accompanied by a two-line poetic inscription

Condition

With one in-filled chip at the mouth approx. 3.5 cm wide, and fritting at the rim including an approx. 8 mm-wide glaze flake. With a firing crack halfway down the body from luting line, running the circumference. There is a crack running through the base, nearly through the middle, continuing up the foot approx 3.5 cm. With typical wear and firing imperfections throughout.
