  • Height 23 1/2  in., 59.7 cm
the pear-shaped body supported on a tall spreading foot and sweeping up to a waisted neck and flaring rim, patterned with five broad registers of polychrome lotus scroll against a turquoise ground, each bud and blossom comprising petals in contrasting colors, dark blue-ground bands with floral scrolls dividing each register

Condition

The cloisonné has expected wear, pitting, and flakes (all as illustrated), scattered dents (commensurate with age), and scattered areas of wax in-fill of varying sizes (the largest is an L-shaped section at the body approx. 15 x 23 cm) and some overspray. The handles have been removed and the associated holes filled-in with colored wax. There is a vertical seam to the interior of the mouth and neck from manufacture.
