Description

  • Height 4 1/8  in., 10.5 cm
the ovoid body set on a knife-pared foot and rising to an upright rim, thick black glaze streaked with russet boldly draining down the exterior stopping unevenly along the sides to reveal the buff biscuit body, the interior coated with a semi-transparent black glaze.

Acquired in Hong Kong, 1986.

Condition

The jar is in overall good condition with only minor expected surface wear, minor chips to the foot, and a small firing burst to the body at the shoulder.
