each finely modeled in the form of four adjoining peony blooms, the petal-molded sides rising to a foliate rim, the interior enameled with yellow stamen surrounded by lush variegated pink radiating petals, all joined by applied green-enameled leaves issuing from a central stem, the exterior depicting the base of each flower with further pink overlapping petals centered by a green sepal, one dish with the rim gilt (4)

Condition

The four dishes are in good overall condition. One is slightly different from the others having gilt rims and three turquoise-enameled leaves across the top - this one with restored tips of the two leaves forming the handle. The dishes with wear to the enamels consistent with age and use. One dish with a label applied to the base: "Anne and Gordon Getty Collection FA# 1998-143".
