Description

  • 26.5 x 38.5 cm, 10½ x 15 1/6 in.
the octagonal facetted body with slightly dished top, carved through the white slip with two large peony blossoms borne on a leafy stem, all reserved on a punched ground, similarly carved to the sides with two rectangular panels enclosing quatrefoil panels of flowers and covered overall with a glaze of ivory tone that falls to the foot, the flat base unglazed

Condition

The pillow is in very good condition with the exception of a 1cm., glaze flake to the side and minor glaze firing imperfections and light glaze scratches.
