Description

  • 16 cm, 6 1/4  in.
the shallow rounded sides rising from a flat base supported on four shallow bracket feet, painted to the interior with a quatrefoil panel enclosing a poem dated to 1797, within two lotus strapwork bands, the exterior similarly painted and the base inscribed with the seal mark in underglaze blue

Provenance

Formerly in a distinguished private English collection, purchased in China between 1900 and 1902.

Condition

This tray is in very good condition, with the exception of two extremely minor nicks in the central panel. There are also very minor surface wear and firing imperfections.
