Description

  • 17.1 cm, 6 3/4  in.
meticulously carved as an archaistic gu-form vase with a sinuous chilong clambering on its central section, its bifurcated tail wrapped around the vase and extending to the adjacent flattened baluster vase, facing a second recumbent chilong at the bottom, with scrolling ruyi-shaped clouds entwined between the two vessels, the stone of a creamy-white tone with dark grey highlights, wood stand

Condition

This vase group is in good condition. There is a small nick to the inner footrim of the larger measuring approx. 3mm, some minor nicks to the surface and extremites, and natural flaws. The actual colour is of a slightly more celadon colour than the catalogue illustration.
