- 15.6 cm, 6 1/8 in.
the compressed globular body rising from three elongated tubular legs to a waisted neck, surmounted by a pair of curved upright handles, the body finely incised with taotie masks, with further archaistic motifs at the neck and on the cover, the foot detailed with stylised plantain leaves, the cover surmounted by a lobed rectangular knop, the stone of a pale green tone
Condition
This censer and cover are in very good condition, with the exception of some minute nicks to the extremities, and natural flaws to the stone. The actual colour is of a more celadon tone than the catalogue illustration.
