Description

  • 16.6 cm, 6 1/2  in.
each with deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, painted around the exterior with a broad lotus scroll band above lotus lappets, the interior with a lotus medallion, the base with the six-character seal mark in underglaze blue

Provenance

A European private collection, purchased in China in the 1920s.

Condition

Both bowls are in overall very good condition with some surface scratches, one bowl with very minor fritting to the glaze by the rim, caused by firing , with two very minute nicks.
