  • 44 cm, 17 1/2  in.
the slightly curved sides rising from a high spreading foot to a tall waisted neck with galleried rim, finely painted around the body in iron-red and black with scholars examining a scroll, the neck with scholars and boys looking at a large scroll pot, the base unglazed

Condition

Overall good condition with the exception of fritting and some shallow chips to the rim some of which are filled. There are slight surface scratches, and iron spots and burst bubbles in various areas.
