the steep sides rising from a short spreading chrysanthemum-shaped foot to a slightly flared rim, carved in low relief to the exterior with a band of mythical beasts between two rows of stylised floral foliates, the stone of a celadon tone, wood stand

Condition

This bowl is in good condition. There are expected minute nicks to the extremeities. There is a fissure running on the well (approx. 4.6 cm), and a flaw to the rim (approx. 0.8 x 0.3 cm). The actual colour of the stone is of a slight more celadon tone than the catalogue illustration.
