the rounded sides rising from a slightly spreading foot to an everted rim, painted to the exterior with copper-red phoenix roundels, the interior base with a further similar roundel, the base inscribed with an underglaze blue six-character mark

Condition

The bowl is in good condition with the exception of a 5cm., wide crescent-shaped star crack to the footring with some associated over-painting.
