the gently sloping sides rising from a short spreading foot, covered in an even olive-green glaze stopping short of the foot, Japanese wood box

Condition

This dish is in good condition, but there is a small shallow glaze chip/flake to one side of the rim (6mm by 1mm). There is a hole to the glaze to the exterior with a stone in the body has ejected through the glaze during firing (8mm by 5mm). There are also some iron spots to the interior and one section of the rim is slightly misshaped.
