I), minor offsetting, minor toning to a few plates. Original half brown pigskin over tan paper covered boards, spines stamped in blind; rubbing to pigskin, primarily to joints and corners.

Catalogue Note

First edition, number 268 of 500 deluxe copies, signed by Roosevelt'African Game Trails' records the Smithsonian-Roosevelt African Expedition, which is how Roosevelt spent the majority of his post-White House years. With their route taking them them through British-held portions of the continent, the party bagged 512 big game animals and numerous other specimens for the Smithsonian Institution and the American Museum of Natural History.
