Catalogue Note

Diary of a hunt for big game through the northern portions of the United States.

Brassey was a British peer, who for many years served as editor of 'Brassey's Naval Annual'. Moving through Niagara, Chicago, and Detroit, the majority of the diary records the party's time spent in Battle Creek, Michigan, where a number of elk, bear, and deer were bagged.
