Catalogue Note

A revised edition of Brucioli's Old Testament, joined with Massimo Teofilo's New Testament, for the use of Protestant refugees in Geneva. Darlow and Moule note: "this edition closely resembles certain contemporary French and English Bibles printed at Geneva. The woodcuts are the same as those in the French Bible of 1560 printed by Antoine Rebul..., and the type is that of the English Geneva Bible of 1560."
