Catalogue Note

Augustine's philosophical method, demonstrated in his 'Meditations' and elsewhere in his writings, had a profound and lasting influence on Continental philosophy. His approach to intentionality, language, and memory as each of these are experienced within consciousness and time, provided the foundation for modern phenomenology and hermeneutics.
