a label attached to the wood backing states, always in Ma Emery's dining room, a still life with fruit; in what appears to be original frame and wood backing.

Peter Eaton Antiques, Newbury, Massachusetts.

Condition

The paper has darkened over time. There is a 3-inch scratch to the top right pear and a 1-inch scratch just to the right of the church steeple painted on the bowl. From the reverse of the paper, there is a 3-inch diameter brown ring, varying in width from 1/2-inch to 1-inch, the ring is visible from the front although only slightly.
