- Height 102 1/2 in. by Width 50 1/4 in. by Depth 22 in.
appears to retain its original finials and hardware; the enclosed writing surface having bone and ivory pulls; bottom inch of feet replaced.
Condition
Please note that the description for this lot has been amended, after an analysis of the wood returned results of spruce and oak, it has been determined that the desk-and-bookcase is English. Overall fine condition. Wear commensurate with age and use. Refinished. Retains three shelves and six finials. Hardware is replaced. Few areas of minor loss or lifting to the veneer. Tooled leather writing surface is later, with cracks at the seam of the fall board. The lock mechanism is replaced with associated veneer patches along the top edge of the fall board. The top right door has a 12 by 1-inch vertical patch along the right most-front facing edge in the upper corner. Bottom 2 inches of the front foot facings possibly patched.
