  • Label on seat frame reading This chair, long known in our family as The Huguenot Chair, was owned by my Grandmother, Sarah Holmes, to whom it is believed to have come from her Grandfather, Dr. Delhonde, who came to this country from France in 1685 on the revocation of the Edict of Nantes.
